Since the introduction of ChatGPT 3.5 in late 2022, we seem to have entered a world surrounded by Large Language Models (LLMs), often without a clear understanding of how these models work. While the internal workings of LLMs remain largely a black box, this does not mean we should treat LLMs themselves as black boxes hidden behind a chat interface.
This workshop aims to make LLMs more visible and tangible through hands-on interaction with open-source models available on Hugging Face using Google Colab. Participants will learn fundamental concepts of LLMs through practical exercises that will hopefully provide a better understanding of both their strengths and limitations when interacting with these models in the future.
No prior coding experience is required. However, a Google account is necessary to access Google Colab, so please create one before the workshop if needed.
